What can I say about these guys? Pretty amazing rock duo out of Akron, Ohio that formed in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach on guitar and vocals and Patrick Carney on drums.

Also I'm ruining out of time and got lazy on this one, since I think you either love them or are not sure why they made headliner (I'm in the second camp, I like them, I'm just not sure they can pull off headliner status).
